Contemporary Editorial Review
"Equalize Ether Collapse," a novel in the LitRPG genre, has been well-received for its engaging storytelling and youthful themes that resonate particularly with younger readers. The narrative revolves around Rocky, a young adventurer determined to grow his skills and find his family in a post-apocalyptic setting. The journey includes a quest for a "prize" through various challenges, including personal growth and friendship, harnessed with themes of teamwork and self-discovery. Many readers appreciated the absence of adult content, making it suitable for younger audiences. The character development of Rocky, amidst highs and lows of emotional and battle experiences, is another highlight. However, some criticisms were noted regarding certain narrative choices. Despite being central to the storyline, the dragon companion is underutilized in the beginning, and some readers felt the progression of events occasionally veered from the main quest. The initial chapters were also described as a bit slow, though reviews mentioned that persistence pays off as the story evolves. Additionally, specific language choices and character names drew mixed reactions, indicating a divide among readers regarding their effectiveness. Despite these critiques, the overall feedback implies that the book is a compelling read, filled with adventure, humor, and a fresh take on its genre, leaving readers excited for the continuation of the series. **
