TUNTUN 5th Gear Lock Nut Retainer Kit 5013887AA Replacement for 1995-2005 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 4WD NV4500 29-Spline Output Shafts

The TUNTUN Trucks 5th Gear Lock Nut Retainer Kit for the Dodge Ram models from 1994 to 2005 has received mixed reviews from customers, highlighting significant concerns regarding the quality and completeness of the product. On one hand, some users report that the nut threaded on easily and successfully secured the 5th gear as intended. However, a substantial number of reviewers have voiced frustration over the product's quality and reliability. Issues such as missing components—specifically screws, washers, and adaptation parts—were common, leaving many customers dissatisfied and forced to find alternative solutions. The most alarming feedback came from a user who experienced catastrophic failure, claiming that the low-quality nut and washer caused a full transmission failure, resulting in an unexpected $1,500 repair bill. This has led to strong warnings from users to avoid this product altogether, as one reviewer described the kit as "cheap, Chinese trash." Overall, while there are a few positive experiences, the predominant sentiment seems to point towards poor craftsmanship and incomplete kits, making it hard to recommend this product for those looking to repair or maintain their vehicle’s transmission. **
