Prothane 18-101 Red Body Mount Kit

The Prothane 18-101 Red Body Mount Kit has garnered mixed reviews from customers who have used it on various older Toyota trucks, such as the 1986 and 1988 models. Many users appreciate the performance of these bushings, noting that they fit well and improve vehicle stability. However, there are notable concerns regarding the completeness of the kit and the thickness of the bushings compared to original parts. Some customers reported receiving incomplete kits, specifically noting that the bed bushings were short by two pieces. This deficit leads to challenges during installation, requiring additional effort to shim the bushings for better alignment of body panels. Furthermore, some users expressed disappointment that the new bushings seemed thinner than expected, potentially impacting their overall fit and performance. On a positive note, many users mentioned the effectiveness of the product once installed, suggesting that it indeed offers a worthwhile upgrade to older truck models. However, customers also noted that it would be beneficial if the kit included additional items such as mounting bolts, further enhancing ease of installation. In summary, while the Prothane 18-101 kit is appreciated for its effectiveness, customers advise potential buyers to ensure they check the kit's completeness and be prepared for possible alignment adjustments during installation. **
