BRIO Early Development & Activity Toys 33617 Editorial Review
**** The Brio Wooden Steam Engine has garnered a wave of positive feedback from parents and caregivers alike, highlighting its charming design and durable Construction. Many customers describe it as the perfect addition to their train sets, noting that it fits seamlessly on Brio tracks while providing a satisfying play experience. Children seem to have formed strong attachments to this train, with some parents reporting that their kids are practically inseparable from it, taking it everywhere in the house. The train’s features, such as the moving piston that drives the wheels, captivate young imaginations and elevate the play experience. Durability is another key highlight in reviews, with users emphasizing the sturdiness of the train even after rough use by toddlers. The combination of wooden and some plastic parts is generally well-received, as it maintains a traditional feel while accommodating some necessary functionalities. This has pleased parents who appreciate the high-quality materials reminiscent of Brio’s earlier offerings, pre-plastic era. However, some minor concerns arise, particularly relating to the train's top heaviness which may lead to it tipping over on extended downhill tracks, and slight incompatibility with non-Brio bridges causing a bit of a struggle during play. Despite these small issues, the overwhelming Consensus is that for a budget-friendly price, the Brio Wooden Steam Engine offers remarkable quality, engaging play mechanics, and becomes a cherished companion for young children. **
