Saris Bicycle Rack Accessory, SuperClamp 2-Bike Tilting Base, Universal Hitch, Black

The Saris Bicycle Rack Accessory, SuperClamp 2-Bike Tilting Base, has garnered mixed reviews from customers, highlighting both beneficial features and significant drawbacks that potential buyers should Consider. On one hand, numerous users found it to be a perfect replacement for broken components, with many appreciating the ease of installation and the enhanced stability over the original arm. It has proven to be a cost-effective solution for those who wished to avoid the expense of buying an entirely new rack, with some noting improvements in functionality such as the tilting feature meant to make loading and unloading easier. However, concerns persist about the overall design and durability of the product. Some customers mentioned that the tilting function does not accommodate enough clearance for certain vehicles, like the Jeep Wrangler, complicating access to the tailgate. Additionally, there are repeated complaints regarding the wobbliness of the unit when attached to the receiver, leading to anxiety during transit. This was exacerbated by reports of issues with customer service, including delays in receiving replacement parts, which frustrated users who hoped to remedy their experiences with the product. Moreover, the switch to a more robust 2” version appears to resolve some of these stability issues after an initial investment, indicating potential extra costs for those dissatisfied with the performance of the 1 ¼” to 2” dual version. Overall, while the Saris SuperClamp offers a viable substitute with improved features, it accompanies risks of instability and customer service challenges that warrant Consideration. **
