Blues Rock 41389362 Editorial Review
The remastered and deluxe edition of The Rolling Stones' "Tattoo You" has elicited a warm response from fans, rekindling a love for the classic album that has stood the test of time. Originally released in 1981, the album was a product of the band's archives—quickly put together between tours, yet it boasts enduring tracks that continue to resonate with listeners today. Fans who experienced the album on vinyl recall its great rock 'n' roll spirit, capturing the essence of The Stones' energy and charm. Many reviewers have expressed their appreciation for the two-disc set, especially the second disc, "Lost and Found," which features unreleased tracks that spark nostalgia and thrill dedicated collectors. The remixed tracks bring forth subtle elements that may have gone unnoticed in the original recordings, creating a fresh listening experience even for long-time fans. Critics have praised the standout tracks, including "Start Me Up" and "Slave," while also acknowledging deeper cuts like "Worried About You" and "Waiting on a Friend" as poignant highlights. While opinions vary regarding the remixed sound, many feel that it offers an interesting new perspective without overshadowing the beloved original mix. The addition of unreleased material has also been a testament to The Stones' impressive catalog, catering to both new listeners and veteran fans eager to explore the band’s lesser-known gems. This release has successfully bridged the gap between decades, proving that the classic rock spirit of The Rolling Stones remains vibrant and impactful. **
